Ron English was born into a fifth generation Florida Agricultural family. After high school, he attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and graduated from Florida Southern College with a degree in Citrus. While at Florida Southern, he was the recipient of the Hughes Memorial Scholarship Award. For over 30 years, Ron worked in citrus industry, as production manager for JE McLean, and Sons. He was also an officer in Golden Valley Groves, a gift fruit operation. Married for over 46 years, he has two children and four grandchildren. He loves the industry. Citrus is his dream job. When not in the grove he enjoys fishing, traveling the back roads of Florida, and spending time with his family; Especially those four grandchildren.
